Separatist POV Episode 4.22 - Revenge - Season Finale.

The fortune cookie is:

The enemy of my enemy is my friend

***SPOILERS***

Right of the bat, the logo of The Clone Wars has turned to red. That immediately assumes of what is to come for Season 5.

Then we see that Darth Maul is getting busy in the back room of the ship with his arachnid metal body.

He mumbles all sorts of stuff, whining and crying as sick as we was. Savage Opress as the caring brother returns him to Dathomir before Mother Talzin who appears within the green mist. Like an animal, Darth Maul follows a green ball of light that takes him to the same "magicks" table that transformed Savage Opress.

On the table, Mother Talzin transforms Darth Maul's body back into a "two legged" cyborg creature with "magicks". One thing else she does that is not well developed, which as removing what looks "spiritual" from his body that may have "restored" his "rationality" than being an animal and a monster. Because after his transformation, Darth Maul is more lucid and coherent.

After a tirade of what to do, Maul agrees to pursue revenge for what the Jedi have done to him. To call their attention, Maul and Savage go to Raydonia and slaughter the innocent to send a message to the Jedi that they want Jedi Master Obi Wan Kenobi.

Obi Wan decides to go alone to fight his nemesis. But the minute he lands and discovers the truth of it and is beaten by both Maul and Savage. They take him aboard their ship when from a cut, Asajj Ventress appears to collect a bounty on Savage Opress. After a fight, Asajj saves Obi Wan and the both escape!

That was the end of Season Four.

This was a highly anticipated episode and it lived up to expectations. Unsure why Yoda agreed that Obi Wan should go by himself to deal with Darth Maul threat. Thing is, does a Sith Lord stop being one because his master casts him aside? But that is if one considers Darth Maul a Sith Lord due to what is stated in the Darth Plagueis novel.

But Maul needs his revenge against the Jedi and then Savage Opress asks what will he do, Maul replies he well wait for his vengeance. Opress asked what has been done will bring all the Jedi. Maul replies, "I am counting on it..."

Foreboding words.

From a Separatist POV:

No big shocker that Darth Maul was made two legged. What was interesting was Savage Opress' response regarding the "Massacre" on Dathomir was told by Mother Talzin of the betrayal.

It was never explained why Dooku decided what he did. Dooku is just as expendable to Darth Sidious as Maul was expendable. But even Obi Wan Kenobi stated that Maul's head should be cut off.

Is Maul just as strong as he was before being whole?

Then, Maul still held the Sith vice of psychologically messing with the minds of their opponents.

Either way, there are bigger things at stake than just Maul's vengeance and the feeling missing it.
